Replace My Brake Pads
We can do just that. And a lot more, but for now, let’s focus brake pads. Brake pads work with brake rotors to slow down the spinning wheels of your vehicle. We’re talking friction, and a lot of it. Over time, these components will need to be replaced. Conveniently located in Atlanta, we can service your Ford brake system likely within the same day.
When To Replace Brake Pads
A good rule of thumb is every 50,000 miles or so. But this depends on a number of variables. Give yourself roughly a 10,000 mile buffer on both sides to be sure. Another way of knowing if if you notice any of these signs.
- Squealing and grinding while braking. This is a dead giveaway
- Brake pads less than a quarter inch thick
- Vibrating brake pedal
- Vehicle pulls to one side while braking
- Brake pedal pushes down with little resistance.
- Brake pedal requires more force to stop car
- Dashboard indicator light is on
